Shopper's Drug Mart Redemption!

I redeemed 50,000 of my Shopper's Optimum Points this weekend as they were having a Super Spend Your Points event where redeeming 50,000 points got me an extra $25.  I believe they do this once or twice a year.

There was a better value if you ad 95,000 points, you received at extra $50, but sadly I did not have enough points!

I'm most excited about my Benefit posie balm and Loreal Manga  mascara. They are items I haven't tried yet. Most of my other items where just replacing items I already have.

Did anyone else take advantage of this redemption? What did you get?

Current Subscription Boxes I am Subscribed To

Wantable Accessories

$56.00 CAD per month

I actually just resubscribed to this for the June box. I hated my May box (April box is shown in pic) so much I sent the entire thing back and cancelled my subscription. It is the most expensive box I subscribe to, and the value isn't always what it should be. But then I had some remorse about it because I originally loved it so much. We'll see what next month brings.

Ipsy  Ipsy

$14.95 USD per month

I have only received Ipsy for 2 months, and so far I have loved it! Ipsy is still really new to me, so I don't have many complaints.

Top Box

$12.00 CAD per month

Probably my favorite beauty subscription box that I am subscribed to. Last month I got a fragrance prive box and Stila eyeliner as a $10 add on. I love that it's a Canadian subscription box and I love how they have the options to apply for prive boxes.  I haven't been disappointed by Top Box yet. Top Box has also been releasing Limited Edition boxes. I didn't sign up for the LouLou limited edition, but I did sign up for the most recent FLARE and Chatelaine ones.
Top Box does have a wait list, and I believe I waited about 2 months to actually be able to join.

Beauty Box 5

$12.00 USD per month

Beauty Box 5 is a decent beauty subscription box, but so far with my subscription where I haven't really been too excited about it. I haven't received any boxes where I have even really remembered any items that came in it. I subscribed for a year, and I think I am about 4 months in.

Bark Box Bark

$19.00 USD per month
Sounds silly, but this is usually the box I get most excited for when I see it in the mail.  My two dogs always love the products inside and get very excited when they receive new toys. Which is exactly probably why I get excited when I see the box in the mail. I am a dog person and spoil my two rotten.

So that is my current list of Subscription Boxes. I am Canadian and I know there are lots of great subscription boxes that are unavailable here at this time.  Are there any I am missing out on that you love? Any you think I should get rid of? Comment below and let me know!

Sephora Haul

I was so excited to see a Sephora box in the mail today! I prefer to shop Sephora online. I find you get more perks/samples with online orders.

I ordered the Make Up Forever HD Pressed Powder as I have been really wanting to try it. It’s an expensive product and somehow I justified it because of the extra 3 deluxe samples Sephora was offering.

Along with my powder, I got the following deluxe samples with the promo code I used:

  1. Benefit Fake Up Concealer in 01 Light - I absolutely love Benefit products. Great packaging and usually great products. I use concealers off and on, but I have never really found one that I really like. I’m excited to try this one.
  2. Bare Minerals Bronzer in The Skinny Dip – I’m very fair skinned and this looks pretty dark.  I also don’t think I have actually ever tried a Bare Minerals product, so also very excited to try it.
  3. Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray – I have tried this product before.  Many years ago. At that time, I didn’t usually wear foundation regularly, so I didn’t use it. A deluxe sized sample will last me a long time.
Along with my deluxe samples, I also received the 3 samples you pick with any online Sephora order.
  1.  Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Wash Shampoo & Surf Creme Rinse Conditioner – Can’t wait to try this! I love the B&B Surf Spray so much!
  2. Smashbox Full Exposure Palette - 5 x Crease-Resistant Long Wearing Shimmers; 5 x Velvety-Smooth Mattes – How could I possibly not have picked this sample?
  3. Tarte Brazilliance Skin Rejuvenating Maracuja Self Tanning Face Towelettes – I haven’t heard much about this product, and since I wear sunscreen daily I never really get much color to my face.
And as a bonus, Sephora sent an Urban Decay Naked Skin BB cream. I love BB creams and Urban Decay.

May Favorites

My Favorite Items This May

1. Essie Nail Lacquer in 'the more the merrier' Essie Canada

$9.99 Shopper's Drug Mart

A great spring/summer color. It's a neon-lime color and it's fantastic!

2. Quest Bar in 'Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough' Quest

$2.99 GNC

I have been eating this for breakfast almost all month. 21 grams of protein and 3 grams net carbs. It actually tastes like cookie dough!

3. Sephora Colorful Eyeliner 24h Waterproof in 'Love Song' Sephora

$15.00 Sephora

A great shimmery hot pink liquid eyeliner. I like to wear it on top of my usual black liquid eyeliner.

4. The Face Shop Color My Eyebrow in 'Light Brown' The Face Shop

$5.99 The Face Shop

I swear this is a great dupe for Benefit's Gimme Brow. And super cute packaging! The Face Shop is a Korean cosmetics/skin care brand that has been opening up stores across Canada. There isn't one in my province yet, and I'm kinda glad there isn't. I would be spending a lot of money there.

5. Flower Beauty Blush/Bronzer Duo in 'Glow Baby Glow' Flower Cosmetics

I recently was in the states so I made sure I was able to stop by WalMart to check out Drew Barrymore's Flower Beauty Cosmetics line. I also got a nail polish and lip crayon, but this blush/bronzer duo is my favorite. I hope they decide to carry this line in Canadian WalMart! Although according to the Flower Beauty Facebook Page, there are no plans to expand at this time.

6.  Clinique Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel Clinique

$29.00 Sephora

I realize you can buy this product at many places, but I bought this at Sephora for the points. This product works great! I found it worked great under make up and also at night before bed.

7. Express Graduated Spike Necklace Express

Love this necklace! It's totally my style and can be casual and dressy.

The Face Shop Haul

I recently was in Edmonton, AB and of course had to check out WEM while I was there. There was a new store called 'The Face Shop' that sold Korean beauty products.
Has anyone checked this place out yet? Thoughts?
